The End of LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

Well, it's been a fun ride, first with my admittedly egomaniacal blog Nodrog's Greatest Hits, and now with the less Nodrog-centric LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED. My reasons for ending the blog?

1. After a while the stories repeat themselves - how many times can we relate the story of an LGF'er getting banned over Vlaams Belang or Creation Science without getting repetitive?

2. There's no way we can keep up with the increasing volume of banning and blocking victims of Charles Johnson's megalomania and paranoia.

3. The tide has definitely turned regarding LGF. When Nodrog's Greatest Hits hit the world wide web the only organized centers of resistance to the Lizard Tyrant were 1) the usual left-wing suspects of LGF Watch 2) the embittered dead-enders of Gulf Coast Pundit, and, occasionally, 3) the zany Discarded Liars. Soon after the start of Nodrog's Greatest Hits, the great Vlaams Belang AtlasShrugged fight began, still on-going, as shown by our last post on Robert Spencer's banishment. And then the great evolution/creation science imbroglio erupted in the Spring of 2008, sending numerous lizardoids into involuntary exile. There are many, many anti-LGF voices now, including littlegreenfootballs2, which manages to be brilliant and idiotic in one fell swoop, Gagdad Bob, Babba Louie, ChenZhen and his "bury LGF at Digg" campaign along with his brilliant punking of sycophantic Zombie's LGF Dictionary (now embraced in the protective folds of the lizard tyrant himself, apparently), Gates of Vienna, and now Robert Spencer's JihadWatch. Little Green Footballs has commenced its now irreversible slide into irrelevance, and the Nodrog's continued efforts would constitute "piling on."

and, finally,

4. I now have better things to do with my life - a personal matter which I will not elaborate on. However, in contrast to the taunts of Ed the Weatherman and others, there are other aspects of my life that are now more deserving of my time and attention than Little Green Footballs.

So I say "farewell" to this blog war. These blogs will remain, a testimony to my zany brilliance and a warning to all webmasters like Charles Johnson who let unexpected success turn them into Josef Stalin wannabes. Comments will soon be closed, so as to prevent those who would sully the message in the far future. I still may show up unannounced at the blog sites of both friends and foes, as "theposterformerlyknownasgordon," or ?

Robert Spencer - Case Study # 60 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

Our final case study victim of the Lizard Tyrant is none other than: ROBERT SPENCER.

Robert Spencer is the intellectual voice of the anti-Islamist forces in the U.S. and around the world - compared to him Andrew Bostum, the late Oriana Fallaci, and Bat Ye'or, not to mention inane bloggers like Pamela Geller and Charles Johnson - are lightweights. In my personal opinion Robert Spencer is quite wrong about many (but not all) of the issues associated with the Islamic religion in our world today, but those who argue against him must have their intellectual ducks in a row, because he's one smart guy.

Charles Johnson once idolized Robert Spencer - Charles was smart enough to recognize the intellectual heft behind Spencer's Islamo-hatred. Spencer's websites, Jihad Watch and Dhimmi Watch, received significant design help from Johnson.

When Johnson and Pam Geller started at it hammer and tongs in the Fall of 2007 Robert Spencer faced a big dilemma. He was an attendee at the now notorious Brussels Journal conference on anti-jihadism. Like Ed the Weatherman, but in a much more serious and substantial way, he tried to bridge the gap between the warring parties. After some apparent mau-mauing by Johnson, he even removed Gates of Vienna and Brussels Journal, two of Johnson's great nemeses among the Islamo-haters, from his blogroll. Nevertheless, his equivocation was noticed by LGF'ers, and he was the occasional subject of sniping and viciousness from the likes of A. Van Hilten (now banned for vitriol) and the relentless Medaura18586. See for example, a September 12, 2008 thread entitled "Spencer on Cologne Anti-Islamization Conference," where Robert Spencer himself and Medaura got into a spitting contest. Here's what Medaura had to say in post #191:

Also, Robert, I was going to let you go off the hook with the understanding that the best treatment for demagogic kooks like yourself is obscurity. But you pissed me off with your childish smears reeking of fabricated "indignation". I have plenty of material on some more associates of yours and your annoying arrogance just convinced me of publishing what I have. Wait for it, then come smear me here as a liar if you dare.

But at some point, Robert Spencer apparently decided enough was enough. Perhaps his friends on the Gates of Vienna/Fjordman side got to him, perhaps he became revolted at Charles Johnson's anti-religious jeremiads on the evolution/intelligent design issue (Spencer appears to be a Christian, as is evidenced by his whitewash of militant Christianity re: militant Islam in a recent book). But on October 31, 2008, in a thread entitled "Friday Evening Open," the Lizard Tyrant had this to say in post # 65:

I notice that Gates of Vienna and Brussels Journal are back in the blogroll at Jihad Watch.

In comment #143 Jimmah noted that Spencer had devoted a post to the works of the dreaded, bloviating Fjordman. In #420 Charles had this to add:

I guess Robert has chosen his side. I'm sad that it's come to this.

But in #469 the bad Charles came back to the surface:

OK. I'm over being sad about it. Now I'm getting mad.

He banished Spencer's blogs in #473:

Jihad Watch and Dhimmi Watch are out of our RSS feeds. I'm not going to support people who link to vile sites like Gates of Vienna and Brussels Journal.

The lizardoid losers egged him on, as shown by Shadow Do in #490:

Step on them Charles.

Charles' finale came in #556:

Paul Belien of Brussels Journal is deeply connected with the Vlaams Belang, and Robert knows this. The fact that he's put them back in his blogroll speaks volumes about the choice he's made.

And Gates of Vienna has turned into a reeking sewer of racism. I'm done with Robert Spencer. And very, very disappointed in him.

As the mob got angrier, #573 Charles revealed that he emailed Spencer to demand that the "designed by LGF" sticker on Jihad Watch be removed.

And then in #689 Robert Spencer came forward. Spencer had commented back in the pre-registration days, most notably to take down yours truly, the Nodrog, on my claim that he supported Serbian genocidaires against Bosnia's Muslims. (Never mind that there's ample proof (and here too) he was being disingenuous about that) But he had only officially registered with LGF on April 21, 2008, and had only 41 posts to his name. Here's what he had to say, quite reasonably:

This will, obviously, be my last post here.

I am not a racist or a race supremacist, and oppose all racism and race supremacism. I have explained many times that I believe a race-based approach to the jihad resistance is wrong. I explained in my post about Fjordman that I didn't believe that he was a racist or a race supremacist. If you all believe that that judgment in itself makes me a racist, I respectfully suggest that this is a logical leap that is unwarranted.

The jihad threat is very large, and has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with ideology. I don't agree in every detail with all those who are fighting it, or with every wording they have ever chosen, or with every emphasis they have. But I am more interested in building alliances and coalitions than with anathematizing those who don't agree with me on every detail. And no, this does not mean that I am interested in building alliances or coalitions with any actual race supremacists, neofascists, or neo-Nazis. Such people are always and everywhere to be opposed.

One last -- pardon me, I know I said I was done, but I had not read all the comments above, particularly from Charles, which comments deeply sadden me.

The statement that I have "embraced the neo-Nazi movement" is false, and libelous. Charles, you and your friends here are now in the position of saying that everyone who doesn't believe these people (Fjordman, Belien, etc.) are neo-Nazis must themselves be neo-Nazis. Well, Ian Buruma recently published an article in the LA Times saying that the European anti-immigration parties were not neo-Nazis. Diana West has written the same thing in articles that have been picked up at the National Review and quoted favorably by Roger Kimball at Pajamas Media.

Unless you all are prepared to say that Buruma, the LA Times, West, Kimball, and National Review have "embraced the neo-Nazi movement," you can't logically say it about me.

Now that really is all.

But Spencer couldn't resist one last post in #757, responding to illiterati supremo mich-again:

[mich-again: Strawman Alert!]

It is not in the least a strawman. You cannot possibly sustain a logical argument that would hold me to have "embraced the neo-Nazi movement" while not accusing the LA Times, Ian Buruma, Roger Kimball, Diana West and National Review of the same thing.

But anyway, I said I wouldn't get drawn into this, and so I really will go now. Goodbye.

It's hard to stop responding when you are facing the lies, insults, and smears of Lizard Nation.

The fur flew for quite a while on many lizard threads in the following days. The very next one, entitled "Another Friday Evening Open," saw this deleted attack in #335 (but helpfully quoted later) from a soon-banned lizardoid:

good bye and good luck Charles. you can remove my account from LGF, the spat with JihadWatch was it for me. I gave you the benefit of the doubt after the Fjordman fight, but really? Jihadwatch a nazi?

But Charles in his heart knew that perhaps this was the final straw that would push his beloved Little Green Footballs site into complete irrelevance, not even to be saved by the upcoming victory of Barack HUSSEIN Obama in the Presidential election. In response to one of his remaining toadies, Occasional Reader in #226, on Argentinian holiday, he had this to say:

I wish I was in a bar in Buenos Aires right now.

IbrahimX - Case Study # 59 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

The dreaded Muslim hordes rarely invaded the LGF turf - their presence was mainly confined to the "We Got Mail!" threads Charles started after receiving laughably inept hate mail from obviously Muslim sources. But IbrahimX, whose brief LGF career began and ended on June 12, 2008, was an exception. It only lasted 16 posts for poor Ibrahim ...

The thread was, appropriately, one of the brief "The Door Opens ... the Door Closes" opportunities Charles now gave for would be lizardoids to join the fold. IbrahimX registered on this thread, and then threw in a real stinker in his first post, #145:

Just curious...how is a "troll" defined in this forum? Anyone who disagrees with CJ and his echoes?

-30 to Abe, not a good start - he either was cluelessly naive or was angling to get booted. The lizardoids, led by Charles in #156, were on the scent - note Mandy Manners' intellectual rejoinder in #195 to "go piss up a rope." (I think Mandy is perhaps the stupidest of all the chief lizardoid toadies still in Charles' good graces) In #262 IbrahimX replied:

I love all the lovely and respectful posts directed at my way. Nice to meet you all! =)

Charles kept up a running commentary, having this to say in #270:

The next troll tactic -- invariably -- is to focus on any insults and complain about how badly they're treated.

Charles then asked in #357:

- which I assume, if correct, would not reflect highly upon IbrahimX. Ibrahim didn't answer in #367, but had this to say:

thank you for informing me that this site is reserved for adults. I certainly had trouble coming to this conclusion given the various way multiple people insulted me upthread. And yes, Ibrahim IS really my first name, and I did not choose it just to draw "anti-islamic" comments as someone else suggested.

He did answer Charles in #395:

Charles--I may have commented at Jerusalem Post a handful of times in the past. If this "IbrahimX" is a frequent commenter there, then it isn't me. But I do comment at JihadWatch periodically under this name. =)

Nice use of emoticons, Ibrahim! In #420 Diamond Bullet dug up an IbrahimX comment at Jihad Watch (Robert Spencer's now LGF-disgraced site) that didn't reflect well on Ibrahim's, shall we way, Zionist credentials. Ibrahim truly doomed himself though, with his own words in #493:

My opinion on Israel is continually changing. Certainly the Israelis have behaved better than the Arabs over the years, but I don't think the Arabs were necessarily "wrong" to oppose Israel's creation--they are certainly the losers in that struggle, and I don't believe they should have to accept their humiliation by further acknowledging a so called "right" of Israel to exist when we all know that that "right" is entirely based on might.

If the Nodrog could be called a "jew-hater" for refusing to endorse the antics of the Hebron Settlers, and banned for a triviality, IbrahimX and his real Jew-hatred didn't stand a chance on LGF. -31 for #493! In #634 Charles piled on:

You're not a troll, you're a Jew-hater, that much is clear. Do you live in the United States?

Charles added this in #713:

If you're banned, it won't be because you're "defending a post." It will be because you're a Jew-hating piece of s**t.

Answering his earlier question with his super-duper spy machine, Charles added this in #876:

'IbrahimX' ignored my question about where it lived. So I'll tell you: it's posting from Fairfax, Virginia, home of the Islamic Saudi Academy.

But Ibrahim wasn't giving up, continuing to argue his frankly untenable positions. In response to Cognito's plea to give IbrahimX the benefit of the doubt, Charles lowered the boom in #947:

That's a complete waste of time. You'll never reach people like that. It's just not going to happen. He's out of here.

On the same day's thread "Melanie Phillips on Obama Derangement Syndrome," in the midst of the Great Discarded Lizard Massacre of 2008 (see earlier case study), Charles announced that he was also banning "that sick freak" IbrahimX. He then later reported that IbrahimX had emailed him demanding reinstatement, answering with "as if."

IbrahimX would have been eventually banned in any LGF era. In 2008 he didn't even last one day!

EIDE Interface - Case Study # 58 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

EIDE_Interface was a long-time poster, from September 2004, with over 3,000 posts. He was (and I assume "is") a hard right conservative, sticking to his principles, which meant that he started getting into it with the LGF sycophancy brigade in the Fall of 2008, as he correctly pointed out the flaws in John McCain's campaign.

A fascinating delusional discussion can be found on September 17, 2008's LGF thread entitled "Sarah Palin on H & C," as the the Wasilla Wowie was lobbed softball questions by notorious shill Sean Hannity. Remember, this was still mid-September, when Obama and McCain were neck-and-neck in the polls. In #182 EIDE commented:

I'm feeling bummed. 1 week ago, McCain had all the momentum and blew it.

* praised Barack's service as community organizer, thus undercutting his own convention

* didn't respond to negative attacks by Barack

* "fundamentals with economy" gaffe on Monday
* AIG bailout flip-flop on Tuesday

Am I missing anything? Democrats all over are pretty gleeful today over the latest polls.

In #203, JCM pushed the right-wing spin/lie that giving loans to unqualified minorities was the prime, perhaps sole, cause of the meltdown, and blamed it all on Congress. EIDE agreed in #209, but pointed out another culprit:

Huh, Bush himself was touting the need to give unqualified minorities house loans. He's the panderer-in-chief.

In #223 the repellent Jammie Wearing Fool starting spinning by using selective poll results, but EIDE called him on it, and in #241 he made a very prescient comment:

Just looking at the various state polls on RCP, this race really is EVEN right now. Barack will try to break it open with pounding McCain on his "economy is fundamentally good" gaffe.

And I can't resist this pollyannish response from Jammie Poo in #244:

Ebbs and flows of campaigns. Don't worry, McCain is going to win.

Ho Ho Ho!

But EIDE Interface was a marked lizard. Sharmuta dismissed him as a moby in #270, and the two got into it for an extended flame session. The thread went on in a similar fashion, and EIDE's posts were all dinged down significantly.

This pattern continued on threads for the next two weeks, until EIDE Interface's LGF Goetterdaemmerung on September 30, 2008, in a thread entitled "Pat Condell: Welcome to Saudi Britain." In #119 EIDE disgraced himself with the following ridiculous remark:

It's only has to do with Muslim civil cases between Muslims. I don't see what the problem is. Now if a Muslim brings a suit against a non-Muslim, he have to do it in the British legal system.

For once, Sharmuta (#125) and Mandy Manners (#127) were justifiably outraged that an LGF irregular would justify Muslim misogyny if only they "kept it among themselves." And EIDE dug his hole deeper with #131:

Still if they believe in their own religion that men are allowed to beat on women - well that's their right I guess.

-22 for EIDE Interface on that one! He added something in #157 that will remain obscured to posterity, because it was deleted. He was not banned at this point, as he continued with this losing argument throughout the thread. Soon the general complaints about the evil EIDE Interface began popping up among the critiques and insults thrown his way (for an example of the latter, see the "contribution" of Mandy Manners, whose entire range of arguments seemed to be limited to "STFU"). And the inevitable call for banning began, with Jorline in #325, who had this to write:

Charles, I've never asked for anything from you, but the time has come for this prick to be shown the door. His thought process is deep skewed and doesn't reflect the thoughts and beliefs of 99.999999% of the lizards on LGF. I can handle an arguements and agreeing to disagree, but his bulls**t is relentless. I can only imagine how much KOS and HuffPo love his snips.

In #505 EIDE predicted his demise:

I will be banned by the end of this night. 100% guaranteed. Sharmuta's clique have made sure of it. Whoever they want banned is banned.

And in #625 he expressed false hope:

I'm pretty sure that Charles can ban me in 2 seconds if he wanted to. That he hasn't yet indicates I haven't violated the "terms". Apparently annoying the hell out of Mandy & Sharmuta isn't sufficient grounds for banning.

You spoke too soon, EIDE - apparently Charles was asleep at the switch. The next day, on a thread entitled "Redesigning USA.gov," Mandy Manners in #24 snitched on EIDE's antics the previous night, reporting that he had advocated deportation (not really true, but "truth" is not well-known to Ms. Manners). Charles investigated, and EIDE's pessimism was justified, as in #108 the Lizard Tyrant lowered the boom:

EIDE_Interface is banned. Good grief. Reading that thread was like having a root canal without novocaine.

In #119 Diana protested to Charles, begging for mercy for EIDE Interface based upon mental illness. Charles cold-heartedly responded in #135:

LGF is not the place for people to work out their problems - it's a public discussion forum, and I can't allow this kind of thing to go on. That was way out of bounds.

Selective reasoning, Charles. Lots of lizardoids have problems just as bad or worse than EIDE Interface has. But because they toe the party line, suck up to you, and rat out deviants, they remain lizardoids.

Liberality - Case Study # 57 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

Now back to another left-wing "troll," Liberality, who registered on February 2, 2005, and logged 307 posts. On an April 18, 2007 thread entitled "Virginia Tech Killer - Ignoring the Elephant," (which, by the way, was a far-fetched attempt to connect the crazed mass-murderer to the Great Islamic Menace) he apparently posted as #205, which Charles immediately "ghosted," leading to the usual confusion among the lizardoids. (You'd think that by April 2007 Charles would have figured out how to properly delete and ban an poster!). In comment in #226 Charles confirmed his actions:

Yes, comment 205 was nuked. I've had it with the thick-headed creep calling itself "liberality," and it's no longer welcome here.

Let's look further back and see what Liberality had done to earn this summary execution ...

On January 15, 2007 Charles had posted "Marketing Peace to the Clueless," enraged about the sale of Kaffiyeh Palestinian scarves, to the world. Liberality put the whole kerfuffle into proper perspective with this comment in #223:

They are also wearing black shirts in the picture. I think you all should protest black shirts. I'm pretty sure I've seen Palestinians wearing shoes as well. You all should go shoeless. In fact, since Palestinians wear clothes, you all should protest by not wearing any. Fight the power!

The result was a bunch of pointless and insulting replies from the usual suspects, most notably Zulubaby's quick profanity in #297. But Liberality had, with one post, effectively flushed Charles Johnson's hyperbole down the rhetorical toilet. No wonder he was a marked man - the Nodrog would have been proud!

Just one more example of Liberality's ability to destroy the whole point of a thread came on September 20, 2006, as Charles indulged attacking one of his favorite bete noires, Hugo Chavez, with "Chavez Spews Hatred at the UN." A true statement, but then Charles started ranting about throwing Chavez out of the U.S., as usual, and the lizardoids started salivating. Liberality threw an effective bucket of rhetorical cold water on the frenzied mass with his post #337:

[Charles wrote] Why is this man allowed to say these kinds of things on American soil?

And you call yourself an American? Perhaps you'd be more comfortable in a nation where freedom of speech is not enshrined in the constitution.

Let the nut spew his bile. Intelligent people take it for what it's worth. That's the American way.

The lizardoids went crazy, on cue, with EC Marm actually claiming in #342 that Hugo Chavez was trying to force Islamic law on the U.S.! Liberality ignored this nonsense, but answered another ignorant claim in #401, reiterating his point:

[I didn't know that our Constitution extended to foreigners]

Protections under the constitution apply to everyone in U.S. jurisdictions. It is the law of the land, not the law of just certain people. You have learned something new today; you're welcome.

[It continues to amaze me how people define free speech.]

I define it the way the Founding Fathers defined it:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

which is why anyone saying, "Why is this man allowed to say these kinds of things on American soil?" is, simply, anti-American.

Americans are intelligent enough to discern Chavez's batshit crazy rhetoric for what it is; we do not need a Bureau of Approved Thought making that decision for us.

As 2007 rolled around, it was clear that such intelligent contrarian voices were no longer to be tolerated on Little Green Footballs. So, buh-bye, liberality!

Unixrab the Anabaptist - Case Study # 56 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

Unixrab came to Little Green Footballs on July 7, 2007, and logged 302 posts before he was booted on the July 10, 2008 post entitled "Radical Muslim Funding U.S. Creationist Groups?" Amazingly, almost half of his posts, 139 in total, were made on this one thread, which eventually amassed a total of 1,847 comments (close to the record for LGF).

Some comments:

First of all, it should be noted that Charles Johnson made creative use in the title to this thread of the question mark - pointing out to any but the most clueless lizardoid (most of them, unfortunately, these days) that the proof of a link between Islamic fundamentalists and Christian fundamentalists was, shall we say, non-existent. It consists of one sentence with a joking hypothetical at the end of a Reuters article (and Charles has no problem trashing Reuters as completely worthless when it suits him, which is often). And there is a claim on Islamic creationist Harun Yahya's own hagiographic site (linked to by Charles) that Christians and Jews have attended his worldwide conferences - suddenly Charles takes the word of a lying jihadist scum (as he would undoubtedly be tarred in other circumstances by the Lizard Tyrant) at face value!

The verb for what Charles Johnson did in this thread is "smear." And smearing is something Charles Johnson is quite the expert at, as exposed by the Nodrog many, many times in my illustrious 4 1/2 year LGF career.

Second, there needs be no direct or indirect financial link between Islamic fundamentalists and Christian fundamentalists. It is clear that Islamist creationist Harun Yahya and the creationists like Unixrab have common cause in opposing science and trying hard to keep our school-age children ignorant of facts and sound theories, as opposed to theology dressed up as science.

Third, Unixrab identified himself as an Anabaptist. For those of you who may not know (which includes just about everyone who argued with him on this thread), Anabaptists were 16th century radical Protestants who managed to get themselves burned at the stake just about everywhere in Europe for their religious purity and fanaticism. Their descendants include the Mennonites and Amish of the New World. I doubt that any of the lizardoids realized that they were arguing with a member of an Amish or Mennonite sect (or their equivalent)!

That being said, I'm not going to bore you to death with quotes from this long, dreary slog of a thread, that saw religious fanatic Unixrab take on the rest of the lizardoids. Go through it if you are suffering from insomnia - it is a classic case of two sides arguing past each other into irrelevance.

We'll give you only the very last post by Unixrab on this thread (and on LGF), #1819, where after arguing vigorously he left the building with the grace and class that the Amish and Mennonites show, even through their fanaticism:

PHEW! another good day of dialogue and debate. Thanks to Sal and DanG and the others. I am challenged and my mind is racing. Good night. Thanks (as always) to Charles for the awesome blogging and (ahead of the MSM) insightful articles.

The -2 this entry received, however, shows that the lizardoids have a LOT less grace and class than Unixrab. And the most graceless and classless clown of them all, the Lizard Tyrant himself, showed up in #1836 to shut the door:

"unixrab" is not welcome to post his/her/its deranged comments at LGF any more.

Look at it this way - Charles had to do this after opening the Evolution/ID bottle and letting the vapors out - his lizardoids were clueless enough to be made fools of by a member of an Amish or Mennonite sect. And that can't happen on the new, degraded, LGF.

Buckeye Abroad - Case Study # 55 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED

Buckeye Abroad was a fairly regular LGF irregular, with over 3,000 posts since he first registered on the first day of LGF registration, June 15, 2004. His name said it all - an Ohio native, living abroad (in Europe, as it turns out).

His agreement with the LGF orthodoxy came to an end in late October, 2007, when Charles Johnson decided to take on those fighting "jihad" in Europe who allied themselves with far-right European political parties such as Vlaams Belang in Belgium and the Sweden Democrats.

On November 1, 2007, Charles posted "A Look at Europe's Identity, Tradition, and Sovereignity Group." The link was to an article prepared by the Anti-Defamation League, exposing some anti-semitic streaks among the 20 European Parliament representatives from seven nations (including Belgium's Vlaams Belang). Unlike the crapola that appears on LGF threads, it is actually a thought-provoking article, and should give anyone who supports these parties some pause. Vlaams Belang is actually the least anti-semitic of any of these parties, which include some real racist barn-burners from Romania and Bulgaria. Like the truth everywhere, it's a complicated picture - but not in the alleged mind of Charles Johnson, used to his "Muslims Bad, Four Legs Good," Animal Farm-esque simplification of everything.

Anyway, Buckeye Abroad took exception to the new LGF line, starting with post #446:

Wow. Charles, I'll pay for your round-trip ticket to Frankfurt if you really believe that. Is Europe condemned to cultural suicide as it doesn't accept its socialist political leaders intentions or its growing non-assimilated immigrants? Who cares. Because for all practical purposes, you're not here. The moral high ground is a wonderful place for people not involved or present, but I don't think they can rightfully judge with absolutism.

The lizardoid toadies came to the defense of their master, and Buckeye Abroad replied in #493 with almost Nodrogian brilliance, demolishing all of their arguments:

As for your offer to visit Europe, thanks. But despite your patronizing comments, I've already spent more than enough time there to form my own opinions.

MM in #499 claimed that Charles could form his own opinions about Europe, having spent about four years there. Buckeye Abroad responded in #541 with some sarcasm:

I have been here since 96'. Do I get a prize?

To which Charles sarcastically responded in #544:

You're the one claiming there's something special about it. Go ahead, give yourself a prize too. You could call it, "The Buckeye Abroad Racial Purity Award."

This is the first I've ever heard that Charles had spent four years in Europe (perhaps in a drug-induced musical haze?), but his ignorance about the continent, and the bias against it that he has showed in deference to his Israeli following over the years, indicates that he didn't learn much while there.

And Buckeye Abroad had put up with enough. He had this to say in #557:

I formally, and humbly, request that you deregister my LGF account. I wish you all the best and prayers to you and your family. You have provided an invaluable resource regarding political and regional affairs over the years for which I will always have an indebted, and personal, gratitude towards you.

A sarcastic reply from Buckeye Abroad followed in #623, and then in #630 Charles "granted" his wish, and Buckeye Abroad was no more.

The banning of Buckeye Abroad is interesting for two reasons - first, of course, the closed-minded American attitudesof the remaining illiterati, reaching levels that can be appropriately described as xenophobia. While I do not support the political policies of the far-right European parties, I can see no reason for American anti-Jihadis to eschew dialogue with them. I especially object to American ignoramuses insisting with jingoistic ignorance that Europe should be just like America in its treatment of citizenship and culture.

And second, the banning shows an interesting evolution in LGF and Charles the Tyrant's intolerance levels. Clearly standards were stricter than in the earlier LGF days, when the Nodrog and others had no problem maintaining LGF accounts while calling out Charles Johnson. But note that Charles did not immediately ban Buckeye Abroad, even with his request to do so, and didn't follow through until Buckeye insisted. In today's LGF, Buckeye Abroad would have been gone after the first comment, and the comment itself would have had a good chance to be deleted, as happened with the Discarded Liars in June 2008.

These changes have made Little Green Footballs what it is today. As the Nodrog used to say - a laughingstock.
