Many have wondered how many of the lizardoids from the heady days of late 2004 remain members in good standing of Lizard Nation?
Here's a sampling of a single post entry: "FISKIE NOMINATIONS 2004 - TOPIC ONE", dated December 4, 2004.
722 comments were made on this post, a large number for the time (or any time, for that matter). Charles' Fiskies were a popular subject, as lizardoids slobbered all other themselves to nominate their least favorite "libtards."
Of those 722 comments, 411 (57%) were made by lizardoids still in good standing, while 311 (43%) were made by lizardoids that are now blocked from accessing their LGF accounts. Of those banned, 26 are from posters (Ploome, song_and_dance_man, Iron Fist, and bigel) who have been obliterated from LGF history.
A breathtaking 109 lizardoids posting on this thread have since been banned and blocked (well, maybe 108, since one of them is W-lover, reputed to have morphed into the loathsome Sharmuta). Without going into as great a detail on those who remain unblocked, most are unfamiliar names - they probably no longer post on LGF.
I'll let you determine what these statistics, taken from a December 2004 thread, mean about what LGF was, and what LGF has become.

UPDATE - LGF banned, blocked AND OBLITERATED, Volume 4
Well, that was a quick hiatus! A new banned, blocked and obliterated LGF irregular has been identified, one who should warm the cockles of dear old Rayra's heart. It is none other than:
-AMERICAN INFIDEL. She (pretty sure about gender) was a regular, almost obsessive poster throughout 2005 and most of 2006, and was well known for three things, her extremely virulent anti-Islamic ideology, her simplistic reasoning, and her ability to drive one of the core group of LGF haters, lead by Rayra and Reaganite, to heights of vitriol and abuse. Her most notorious moment on LGF came during one of Charles' periodic anti-Mexican binges, obsessing about "La Raza" and nefarious Jihadi wannabes with brown skins from south of the border, when she advocated setting up automatic machine gun nests along the Mexican border.
She got herself banned during the notorious purge of September 2006, which sent the core of the Grouchy Conservative Pundits, including Rayra, packing. Their claim is that she was Charles' sacrificial lamb in that affair, banned to buttress his false claim to being impartial and not picking on poor lil' ol' Rayra and his confederates. But her own vitriol and stupidity amply justified her banning, at least by Johnson's evolving standards of conduct.
BUT NOT HER OBLITERATION.

LGF banned, blocked AND OBLITERATED, Volume 3
In this volume we will look at two final (for now) victims of obliteration in the LGF comments section:
1. TAXFREEKILLER: Also banned after the completion of round one of this blog, for having the temerity to join a group of LGF alleged renegades in starting their own (lame) site. Taxfreekiller was perhaps the goofiest of all LGF irregulars - combining irrationality, paranoia, and VERY poor spelling, grammatical, and typing skills. Although Reaganite couldn't stand him, which counts for something in his favor. When Charles announced the banning, he admitted that he should have bounced "TFK," as he was affectionately known by some, long before. When Taxfreekiller tried some sock puppetry (as if he could ever disguise his notably rancid posting style), Charles did the dirty obliteration deed. A notable confrontation with the Nodrog occurred here.
2. IRON FIST: The saga of Iron Fist - from LGF darling to obliterated outcast. He was once such a favorite that he was the star of the LGF dictionary, with the "Iron Fist rule" front and center. ("If you think you are too drunk to post, you are too drunk to post.") Here is the LGF Dictionary page today - with Iron Fist obliterated, the page had to go away too. (There is another reason - the banning of Zombie, which we may go into later) The dictionary was saved by aficionados here, and represents the sordid history of LGF that Johnson wants to pretend never existed. LGF Watch had this hilarious and informative post about one of Iron Fist's less murderous (in this case, more like manslaughter) escapades.
Anyway, Iron Fist did not change fast enough for the new and improved LGF, so Charles sent him packing. When he continued his tirades elsewhere, Charles decided to do his "commissar vanishes" routine on poor ol' Fisty.
This completes our current list of major LGF Banned, blocked AND OBLITERATED characters. If anyone has further updates or contributions, please provide me with the LGF nick of anyone else with, say, over 1,000 posts or so, who has been obliterated from the archives.

LGF banned, blocked AND OBLITERATED, Volume 2
In this volume we will look at two additional victims of obliteration in the LGF comments section:
1. BIGEL: Bigel's LGF demise is chronicled in this post. Bigel was well known for his "nuclear" rhetoric, which included frequent calls to radioactively obliterate various "enemies of the state," (in this case, enemies of the State of Israel, at least in Bigel's blinkered imagination). Anyone who crossed Bigel was generally accused of being a concentration camp guard wannabe, as happened to the Nodrog occasionally. Bigel is noteworthy for being the first significant non-lefty LGF irregular to be banned by Johnson, and such rhetoric must not only be outlawed today, but the archives must be purged of its taint back to the beginning, apparently.
2. PLOOME HINENI: Ploome Hineni was banned after the completion of round one of this blog, and thus does not have an entry. She was just about the most awful of all the LGF irregulars, and, as you can tell, that's saying QUITE a lot! She combined a more virulent variety of LGF Islamic eliminationism with defense of even Jewish terrorists such as Baruch Goldstein (who perpetrated the Cave of the Patriarchs massacre) and erratic behavior. Her insults were generally about as puerile as is possible for an alleged adult. The contrast of today, where even her past ravings are not be tolerated, and 2004, when she was one of Charles' favorites, cannot be more striking. Like Rayra, however, she can still be found pre-2004 registration, as plain ol' "Ploome."

LGF banned blocked AND OBLITERATED - Volume 1
The happenin's with Little Green Footballs since "Banned and Blocked" closed down have been dizzying! As I noted, many, many others have taken up the close scrutiny of the psychological and sociological case of Charles Johnson and his blog.
This update regards a very interesting new development in the Little Green Footballs story - Charles Johnson has started seriously trying to change history by obliterating past comments going back all the way to registration in 2004 and, in some cases, beyond.
I'm not including the one-off flouncers and discovered sock-puppets with a dozen or so posts who get their entire LGF life's work flicked away. I'm only including the "heavy hitters" in this series of posts.
This is a report on the known members of the banned, blocked, AND OBLITERATED crowd:
1. SAVAGE NATION. I believe that this thorn in Charles' side was the first to be completely nuked. A full report on the circumstances can be found here. Since his obliteration, savage_nation has gone on to bigger things - his identity was outrageously outed by Charles, he is a regular poster at Rayra's Grouchy Conservative Pundits site, and, of course, he is a key member of the LGF 2.0 blogmocracy gang and their alternately hilarious and terrifying site.
2. SONG AND DANCE MAN. Case study #4, song_and_dance_man (SADM) followed his original banning with the unpardonable sin, in October 2008, of posting on Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch website. Or so says Charles (I have no interest in wading into that cesspool to verify). Charles, or one of his toadies, then apparently rifled through SADM's over 30,000 posts (now THAT's a job for the internship from hell!) and found a couple that sounded racist. So Charles obliterated SADM's "contributions" to his illustrious website. Of all of the victims of obliteration, SADM probably deserved it least - although Charles would never admit error, he undoubtedly realized that if SADM could be obliterated, then about 75% of his total posts would have to go. But, like Josef Stalin's red purges of the 1930's, the obliteration of the innocuous SADM undoubtedly sent shivers through lizardoid toady hearts.
3. RAYRA. The main culprit in case study #34, Rayra is now the ring-leader of the Grouchy Conservative Pundits right-wing sewer. He was notorious for his profanity-infested outbursts and rude behavior to other posters who didn't toe the Rayra line. He also claims to have taught Zombie everything he-she-it knows, although his former shambles of a website (rayra.net) now shows up in some inscrutable oriental language. He and Charles have an ongoing dispute about some alleged threats Rayra made re: Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR in the LGF misty past. Where once Charles minimized Rayra's alleged threat, he has now played it up several times as a major issue since, leading to more profane outbursts of outrage from Rayra. The Hooper incident alone was enough excuse for Charles to obliterate Rayra's contributions, which numbered in the tens of thousands. You can still find a glimpse of Rayra, should you be so inclined, by going back to pre-registration (before June 2004) LGF days and looking for "Rayra Johnson," a name under which he sometimes posted (but everything that was just "Rayra," even pre-registration, has gone down the memory hole). Interestingly, Charles hasn't obliterated this post from 2005, at least for now.

The End of LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED
Well, it's been a fun ride, first with my admittedly egomaniacal blog Nodrog's Greatest Hits, and now with the less Nodrog-centric LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED. My reasons for ending the blog?
1. After a while the stories repeat themselves - how many times can we relate the story of an LGF'er getting banned over Vlaams Belang or Creation Science without getting repetitive?
2. There's no way we can keep up with the increasing volume of banning and blocking victims of Charles Johnson's megalomania and paranoia.
3. The tide has definitely turned regarding LGF. When Nodrog's Greatest Hits hit the world wide web the only organized centers of resistance to the Lizard Tyrant were 1) the usual left-wing suspects of LGF Watch 2) the embittered dead-enders of Gulf Coast Pundit, and, occasionally, 3) the zany Discarded Liars. Soon after the start of Nodrog's Greatest Hits, the great Vlaams Belang AtlasShrugged fight began, still on-going, as shown by our last post on Robert Spencer's banishment. And then the great evolution/creation science imbroglio erupted in the Spring of 2008, sending numerous lizardoids into involuntary exile. There are many, many anti-LGF voices now, including littlegreenfootballs2, which manages to be brilliant and idiotic in one fell swoop, Gagdad Bob, Babba Louie, ChenZhen and his "bury LGF at Digg" campaign along with his brilliant punking of sycophantic Zombie's LGF Dictionary (now embraced in the protective folds of the lizard tyrant himself, apparently), Gates of Vienna, and now Robert Spencer's JihadWatch. Little Green Footballs has commenced its now irreversible slide into irrelevance, and the Nodrog's continued efforts would constitute "piling on."
and, finally,
4. I now have better things to do with my life - a personal matter which I will not elaborate on. However, in contrast to the taunts of Ed the Weatherman and others, there are other aspects of my life that are now more deserving of my time and attention than Little Green Footballs.
So I say "farewell" to this blog war. These blogs will remain, a testimony to my zany brilliance and a warning to all webmasters like Charles Johnson who let unexpected success turn them into Josef Stalin wannabes. Comments will soon be closed, so as to prevent those who would sully the message in the far future. I still may show up unannounced at the blog sites of both friends and foes, as "theposterformerlyknownasgordon," or ?

Robert Spencer - Case Study # 60 - LGF BANNED AND BLOCKED
Our final case study victim of the Lizard Tyrant is none other than: ROBERT SPENCER.
Robert Spencer is the intellectual voice of the anti-Islamist forces in the U.S. and around the world - compared to him Andrew Bostum, the late Oriana Fallaci, and Bat Ye'or, not to mention inane bloggers like Pamela Geller and Charles Johnson - are lightweights. In my personal opinion Robert Spencer is quite wrong about many (but not all) of the issues associated with the Islamic religion in our world today, but those who argue against him must have their intellectual ducks in a row, because he's one smart guy.
Charles Johnson once idolized Robert Spencer - Charles was smart enough to recognize the intellectual heft behind Spencer's Islamo-hatred. Spencer's websites, Jihad Watch and Dhimmi Watch, received significant design help from Johnson.
When Johnson and Pam Geller started at it hammer and tongs in the Fall of 2007 Robert Spencer faced a big dilemma. He was an attendee at the now notorious Brussels Journal conference on anti-jihadism. Like Ed the Weatherman, but in a much more serious and substantial way, he tried to bridge the gap between the warring parties. After some apparent mau-mauing by Johnson, he even removed Gates of Vienna and Brussels Journal, two of Johnson's great nemeses among the Islamo-haters, from his blogroll. Nevertheless, his equivocation was noticed by LGF'ers, and he was the occasional subject of sniping and viciousness from the likes of A. Van Hilten (now banned for vitriol) and the relentless Medaura18586. See for example, a September 12, 2008 thread entitled "Spencer on Cologne Anti-Islamization Conference," where Robert Spencer himself and Medaura got into a spitting contest. Here's what Medaura had to say in post #191:

Spencer had commented back in the pre-registration days, most notably to take down yours truly, the Nodrog, on my claim that he supported Serbian genocidaires against Bosnia's Muslims. (Never mind that there's ample proof (and here too) he was being disingenuous about that) But he had only officially registered with LGF on April 21, 2008, and had only 41 posts to his name. The fact that he's put them back in his blogroll speaks volumes about the choice he's made.As the mob got angrier, #573 Charles revealed that he emailed Spencer to demand that the "designed by LGF" sticker on Jihad Watch be removed.
And Gates of Vienna has turned into a reeking sewer of racism. I'm done with Robert Spencer. And very, very disappointed in him.
And then in #689 Robert Spencer came forward. Spencer had commented back in the pre-registration days, most notably to take down yours truly, the Nodrog, on my claim that he supported Serbian genocidaires against Bosnia's Muslims. (Never mind that there's ample proof (and here too) he was being disingenuous about that) But he had only officially registered with LGF on April 21, 2008, and had only 41 posts to his name. Here's what he had to say, quite reasonably:

I am not a racist or a race supremacist, and oppose all racism and race supremacism. I have explained many times that I believe a race-based approach to the jihad resistance is wrong. I explained in my post about Fjordman that I didn't believe that he was a racist or a race supremacist. If you all believe that that judgment in itself makes me a racist, I respectfully suggest that this is a logical leap that is unwarranted.
The jihad threat is very large, and has nothing to do with race, but everything to do with ideology. I don't agree in every detail with all those who are fighting it, or with every wording they have ever chosen, or with every emphasis they have. But I am more interested in building alliances and coalitions than with anathematizing those who don't agree with me on every detail. And no, this does not mean that I am interested in building alliances or coalitions with any actual race supremacists, neofascists, or neo-Nazis. Such people are always and everywhere to be opposed.

The statement that I have "embraced the neo-Nazi movement" is false, and libelous. Charles, you and your friends here are now in the position of saying that everyone who doesn't believe these people (Fjordman, Belien, etc.) are neo-Nazis must themselves be neo-Nazis. Well, Ian Buruma recently published an article in the LA Times saying that the European anti-immigration parties were not neo-Nazis. Diana West has written the same thing in articles that have been picked up at the National Review and quoted favorably by Roger Kimball at Pajamas Media.
Unless you all are prepared to say that Buruma, the LA Times, West, Kimball, and National Review have "embraced the neo-Nazi movement," you can't logically say it about me.
Now that really is all.
